Today, as a RISE Community Ambassador, he shares how those early acts of support inspired him to give back to others. Basel is one of our 10 Diaspora Community Ambassadors that play a vital role in strengthening Community Sponsorship across Belgium. Through shared language, lived experience, and deep community connections, they mobilize sponsors, create trainings, organize local events, and help identify safe housing options for refugees.
