Meet Waleed, President of the Yemeni Forum in Belgium and one of our ten RISE Community Ambassadors. Through the Yemeni Forum, he has been working closely with IOM to mobilize sponsors within the Yemeni community in Belgium and to raise awareness about the power of Community Sponsorship.

Diaspora Community Ambassadors play a vital role in strengthening Community Sponsorship across Belgium. Through shared language, lived experience, and deep community connections, they mobilize sponsors, create trainings, organize local events, and even help identify safe housing options for newcomers.
